To download CWShredder (to get rid of About:Blank and other CoolWeb spyware go to http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,23551,00.asp or go to www.pcworld.com and search for CWShredder

To download AVG Anti-virus (free for personal use) go to www.grisoft.com

I would suggest Norton Anti-virus (current edition which is currently 2005) for a bought anti-virus program. McAfee and others are also good but I have had excellent results with Norton since 1997. There are also commercial anti-spyware programs available.

Always update definitions in anti-spyware programs when running and update signatures in anti-virus programs when running.
