#240 - Latest Phishing attempts (Watt Thoughts)

There is a new phishing email going around that is hitting ATT and assouciated email accounts and yahoo (which ATT uses). It reports there is a DGTFX new anti-virus they need to install on your account as a virus(which may be reported as DGTFX also) has been found in your account. (The name of the virus and anti-virus may change). All the links and addresses point to ATT so it looks legitimate but it is not. It says they need your account and password so they can install or they will erase your email.

They do not need this information to install anti-virus software, they are administrator. There is a person or people somewhere that are collecting the information so they can hack you. Delete the email, do NOT reply to it. ATT and Yahoo should start pointing it to SPAM folder soon.

This is a little article I am doing across the Internet of my personal opinions. This reflects my personal thoughts. I try to write several times a month on a variety of subjects. It may be religious at times, political at times, and at other times just my reactions on something happening out there. It will often be like an op-ed article. If I do what I intend, you will at times want to shout I agree, other times you will want to say Dwight has really lost it now, but most importantly I want to challenge you to think. Feel free to forward this to others. If you don't want to get this e-mail let me know. Feel free to use what you read from me, but I request you give me credit and send a tear sheet if published in a newspaper or magazine. Thanks.
